The Race Relations Commissioner Meng Foon has written to our political parties urging them to lay off racism in the coming election campaign.
His letter has been joyfully spread by its recipients around the capital and for all I know, elsewhere.
Inexplicably half of it is in maori, God knows why as to the best of my knowledge none of our Party leaders speak it.
Anyway, frankly it’s overdue, especially with Jacinda. On the occasions I’ve met her I’ve been shocked by her vicious attacks on Paraguayans in particular, but also Bulgarians. Plainly she’s had a bad experience with both.
The question is whether Meng Foon will act on this, or do Bulgarian and Paraguayans being white not count?
Personally, I don’t mind Jacinda’s rubbishing Bulgarians but I do object to her attacks on Paraguayans for a damn good reason.
That is the Guarani indigenous girls are all stunners and therefore can do no wrong in my eyes.

I don’t know why you don’t put yourself forward as a candidate in the next election. The government is surely lacking common sense and good humour.
I salute you Sir Robert , for like so many of your writings are witty and true, this one takes the cake for I, as a South American born citizen of New Zealand wholeheartedly agree with all the emotion that my genetic composition can muster by remembering the exquisite beauty, scent and apparent humility of the Guarani women. Thank you for bringing this memory back from a very long time ago.

Amirouche Hammar, a resident of Bobigny, Paris, fell sick with an influenza-like illness. On 27 December 2019, after 4 days of dry cough, fever, fatigue, and breathing difficulties, he drove himself to the emergency ward of the local hospital, where he was administered antibiotics, and recovered sufficiently to be able to leave on December 29. Like all respiratory samples, that of Hammar was frozen, and stored, for possible future analysis. Between 6-9 April 2020 fourteen of these stored samples were tested for Covid-19. The sample of Hammar, taken on 27 December 2019, tested positive for Covid-19. This means that he caught the disease sometime around 12 December 2019, right up there with the very first Chinese cases in Wuhan.
The case of Hammar remains a mystery to the scientific community. However, it really should not be a mystery, as there is a Euro-American strain of Covid-19 that predated the Wuhan strain (see more below) and Hammar simply had the Euro-American strain.

My old policy idea was to give immigration over to the people of New Zealand, so we can all watch 2 minute videos of applicants that have been prior screened by the government. Of course there would be a *massive* bias for the beautiful, especially beautiful women, because human instinct puts genes well ahead of trivia like scholastic achievement and workaholism…

Aussie women aren’t too bad either, although they do seem to put way too much effort into grooming and I reckon our natural NZ women are way better because of this. However it seems Aussie women are a bit of a risk with CV19 taking a bit of a grip on the place.
Our way of handling the virus may just have the edge on Aussie’s don’t you think? In retrospect, and with the benefit of hindsight, of course?
In fact the global economy might be better off if all countries had taken the same conservative viral management path of lockdown that we did.
On the other hand, it is, after all, early days yet…
