The wonderful people at Stuff are providing a great source of material for the lighting of my coal burning open fire. Many of my knitting group friends intend using their log and coal burners more often as power prices increase. We understand that power is now produced using imported coal, so the net effect will be no more harmful to our environment. These Green people are very clever and we understand now why our government has subsidised Stuff in providing an affordable source of heating. Especially good for people on fixed income or benefit.
Would it be possible though, for the print ink used to be of a slightly less toxic concentration, as the paper is often damp from lying on the ground or in an amongst the local environment.

Still filling the bins !!
During winter months i.e. fire season. I imagine free newspaper circulation increases seven fold as one paper is ideal for fire starting. Mea culpa.
Circulation means nothing of course, especially to advertisers. It’s just tonnage. The real question is does anybody read the bloody things…

I am grateful they do, I need the newsprint to light the fire.
I empty the letterbox when I put out the recycling. Hence the community newspapers are easily dealt with.
