The Police are investigating bribery claims re halal meat sales in the Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand.
This is disgracefully insensitive.
Bribery is an intrinsic part of the culture in every one of the world’s 50 Moslem nations.
The Human Rights Commission should intervene smartly. It’s their sort of thing.

Further – one or two groups for the last 10 years have been trying to establish a link between the funding of terrorism and the charges meated out on food producers to make their products Halal certified. So far, no headway but, then again, maybe this is headway.
P.S. I don’t buy Whittakers Chocolate any longer because it’s Halal and I don’t want to help fund the building of mosques and madras’ in the country.

A culture of trust is worth more than its weight in gold.
One of the few good things about the lockdown is that the HRC are all probably at home doing nothing! Which is fantastic, perhaps they could be made redundant. So to could the commerce commission which has just permitted supermarket monopolies to bankrupt wine shops, butchers and green grocers.
