The Liz Gunn prosecution was scandalously corrupt and has been exposed as such by High Court judge Justice Peters.
The initial prosecution was before District court judge Forrest who described Gunn as “rude, overbearing and offensive”.
The evidence is clear she was anything but that as Justice Peters has pointed out.
Lower Court judges are frequently failed lawyers, unable to earn a living in a crowded field. This case was riddled with outright corruption. The behaviour by the Police was disgraceful. Gunn is entitled to substantial compensation.

As with Sean, we may not be followers of Lizz or her opinions, but just disgraceful subversive (possibly political) corruption the way she was treated.
Needs to be ‘completely exposed’ or will be a further injustice to Ms Gunn and the population.

Nothing less than a public apology from the attorney general and police commissioner for their abuse of power and process.
Politics got in the way of better judgement..in which case Chris Hipkins should issue a public apology also.

I’m no great fan of hers – she’s a bit of a shrill – but 100% agree. Judge Forrest should be fired and she should get compensation for wrongful arrest.
Both Ardern and Hipkins should publicly apologise to Liz Gunn. Liz Gunndared to poke her head above the parapet while too many cowered below the parapet, scared or apathetic or stupidly believing the government narrative which was aimed at division and control.
The only logical explanation for the victimisation of Liz Gunn is that she has exposed corruption in high places.
