Every year somewhere in New Zealand suffers from debilitating droughts. This year it’s been Auckland and Hawkes Bay.
It’s an easy matter to fix. Stage a cricket test there and you can be sure the skies will open.
The obvious opponent is Australia which also endures the same drought problem. The strategy could usher in a new cordiality in Trans-Tasman relations.

Pragmatic common sense. Has already worked for over fifty years. Even better, no one actually attends test cricket and the players are already 2 metres apart when they play, so you’ve provided the answer to two problems.
These so-called droughts are what I generally refer to as Summer !
Some are just more severe than others.
” Weather ” is a term that covers most of these climatic variables.
