CROWD-FUNDING EXERCISE

Rumour has it that the Herald’s very good business journo Hamish Rutherford (the paper nicked him off Stuff) has begun a crowd-funding exercise. Apparently this is to pay for his colleague Matt Nippert to have a hair-cut.

WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR WOODEN BUILDING?

Three years ago there was a splash of publicity about my company building a wooden structure high-rise office-building in Wellington. Subsequently people frequently asked me what happened to this.

The photo below shows a current ariel shot from our offices. Soon the roof will go on and that’s the last we will see of its wooden content other than some floors for ornamental reasons.

The Boy Scout movement is a soaking wet Edwardian anachronism. Wherever it still survives it’s a regular occurrence for it to be involved in paedophilic scandals. In America’s case it’s involved pay-outs of millions of dollars.

THE LIFE AND DEATH OF SONNY FAI

A huge sigh of relief was felt across Auckland on Sunday when once again the Herald web-site ran “The Tragic Life and Death of Sonny Fai” item.

It’s over 3 weeks since they last ran it, consequentially across the city numerous readers were suffering from terrible withdrawal symptoms.
