THE NONSENSE COMPOUNDED

The above report on the new Wellington waterfront Children’s playground was as reported in The NZ Herald and Wellington’s The Post.

But another Post account has now been drawn to my attention. This advises that the playground’s name was “gifted to it by Taranaki whanui ki te Upoko o te ika”, this mouthful presumably a Taranaki maori outfit.

I shall reciprocate.

I hereby gift them the name Mount Egmont for Mount Taranaki.

What nonsense some Maoris indulge in. And they expect to be taken seriously..!!

Similar to the threat that the thieves of the whalebones in Taranaki should return them for “their spiritual wellbeing to be maintained”. Black magic is alive and well.

The new Auckland city rail link station is no longer “Aotea square” as that’s not Maori enough apparently. The new name “gifted” to it by the local iwi is Te Wairohotiu – I wonder how much did they get for this unwanted “gift”.

Thank God I now live 12000 miles away from this nonsense. In Britain, we suffer our version of bullshit, but at least the perpetrators here have the intelligence to understand what they’re peddling.

I made an OIA request a couple of weeks ago. The text below:-

“I read a few days ago of the discovery of human remains in Porirua (link provided).

Among other things the NZHerald report stated – “Local iwi have been consulted and a blessing of the scene will also take place soon.”

The Herald report omits any mention of the consultation that has taken place with Christian Leaders or their participation in blessing the site.

Can you now please provide that information?”

I await the Ministerial response with bated breath. :-))

Fantastic …you are back!
