The desperation spectacle of Putin in North Korea, being hosted by a grossly obese buffoon in a quest for weapons to pursue his futile Ukrainian war, was alarming.
By the age-old method of eliminating any rivals Putin has now ruled Russia longer than any of his predecessors, even including Stalin.
That he’s a cold-blooded psychopath and a serious sufferer of short man syndrome is beyond question.
The Western nations have frozen the oligarchs largely ill-gotten billions. There’s now talk of applying the accrued interest to rebuilding Ukraine.
They should go a further step and threaten to pass laws to allow them to confiscate the capital sums for the same purpose.
Hopefully that threat would see one or more oligarch with a home in Russia as well as the west, then arrange to have Putin killed. The world will rejoice.

In my opinion many governments of the Western world are happy with the status quo giving them the opportunity to repay their weapons manufacturing donors by using their citizens taxes.
I’m quite sure many politicians are prospering along the way.

I understand a lot of the oligarchs who fled Putin’s Russia are now finding it a safer place for their capital than the West. Making laws to suit political convenience is the road to hell, I think.
Ironically, the oligarch would then be in the running for the Nobel Peace Prize. Fair enough too, for doing God’s work.

This guy writes reports on the Ukraine situation. This latest one has a brief note on the tweedle dee tweedle dum debate but also on how Russian oligarchs attitudes are changing, indicating the chances of ‘regime change’ in Russia are about nil, if there ever was any possibility anyway.

Vile thieving killer. I think we all remember that great sense of emancipation when communism collapsed, and yet the Cold War carries on. Russian money is busy corrupting the civil institutions of the West whilst Putins hot war in Ukraine kills and destroys. Hopefully one of the generals will decide it’s time for a change sooner rather than later.

The vast majority of humanity craves world peace and he is in the unique position of being able to reunite Korea, which would result in prosperity for his citizenry, and he could bask in the glory of world wide praise and admiration. He would probably receive the Nobel Peace prize and a few rotund statues in his honor.
Instead, his lack of vision will inevitably see his leadership end ignominiously.
