JOE BIDEN – TIME TO GO

Five years back on this Blog I wrote about the American Democrat party primaries, then underway.

I expressed amazement that Joe Biden was the front runner in the 19 candidate field as for me, the standout candidate was the then 37 year old Indiana mayor Peter Buttigieg. As I wrote, Buttigieg has money pouring into his campaign funding and he brings a Kennedyish youthful optimism, in raw contrast to Biden.

“Buttigieg is fresh, young, highly intelligent, decent, a former Naval intelligence officer, Harvard and Oxford educated, the latter as a Rhodes scholar. He advances sensible policies, notably universal healthcare which is long overdue in America.

He’s also homosexual but the evidence is clear that’s no longer a handicap in American politics, or indeed anywhere in the western world.

In short Buttigieg is the absolute opposite on every count to Trump, perfect credentials to reduce him to a one-term office-holder”

Well as we know the Democrats ran with Biden who duly rolled the abominable Trump by an all-time record 8 million voters margin.

Now, here we go again. But Biden is plainly past it. If he really cared for his country, he’d put aside his pride and step down. Such is his mental and physical decay he’s not capable of running a corner store, let alone the largest economy in the world.

The pressure is mounting on him to pull out from increasing numbers of prominent Democrats. For the sake of the free world, hopefully he does the decent thing, moreso as he cannot win a second term, not just against Trump, but anyone.

All of that aside, remember Buttigieg as its odds on he will be the front runner as the next Democrat President in 2028, should Biden continue his campaign, which is doomed to failure.

Biden continues to advance the calls of those making money out of other peoples misery. As they say, follow the money; and its no coincidence they share the same arrogance as Biden.

The US (or should I say those who control its government) is not the power it once was. They need to realise that screwing over the general masses through financialisation is not a sustainable long term business plan. These same people have no understanding you get more out of giving than taking.

I’m not sure they have a plan B however; other than a huge collapse of the current system.

Roger Douglas was their Trojan horse here.

The US election is coming down to two awful choices.

In a nutshell who would you trust more? – Biden to drive your 5-year-old to school or Trump pick up your 17-year-old daughter from the prom!

It’s easy to take easy shots at people, but one measure I use is to look at the children. Trump seems to have bred a great bunch of kids, who are tight in their support for him, well educated, clean living, successful, and all appear to be able to deal with life’s challenges.

Biden on the other hand has Hunter, and a bunch of other dodgy family members, hands in the till, and certainly not anything I’d have my kids look up to.

Not saying Donald Trump is an angel by any means, but there are times you want a harsh bastard to sort out a mess, and right now the USA is up to their necks in it, and IMHO Biden ain’t the one to do it. I doubt Buttegieg is up to it either for that matter.

    Trump, no contest.

For over twenty years now, I’ve played soccer every Tuesday evening with a large group of Mexican immigrants. Tonight was no exception, despite temperatures that challenge human survival. After practice, one of the other senior players, Rigo, who didn’t have a bottle opener, approached me with his icy cold modello, which he asked me to open for him.

I kindly obliged , having mastered the art during my misspent youth growing up in New Zealand.

I asked Rigo who they favored to win the next election, to which he responded, oh we all support Trump.

I looked at him incredulously and asked why would you go for that obnoxious personality, to which he responded emphatically, “ it’s not about personality, it’s about the system that needs changing “.

Their perspective is vastly different from the privileged position many of us make our decisions from.

The Democratic Party are damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
Biden needed to destroy Trump in the debate and he blew it. Trump will probably get in now and I doubt if there will be any further free elections. Trump tried once to overturn the democratic result, he will make sure he doesn’t let people vote him out again.

I doubt this. Trump challenged the results in several states. Was unsuccessful and stepped aside. There is no basis for him to attempt to stay in office beyond a single further term. The rhetoric around a “threat to democracy” seems overblown. It’s also somewhat hypocritical given the spying on Trump’s campaign that occurred in 2016 and the blatantly political prosecution brought against him in NYC. Even CNN’s senior legal advisor Ellie Honig wrote an article in NY Mag outlining how that prosecution contorted the law to get a particular individual.

Trump is quite capable of destroying himself.

    That’s a given.

All Joe Biden had to do was actually answer the questions and not resort to abusive rhetoric or bizarre comparisons about his golfing prowess.

Thankfully , The Real Debate was broadcast contemporaneously, and provided a voice of decency and hope versus more of the same old smears and fears.

Trump will win because a majority of Americans will vote against Biden just like they voted against Clinton in 2016.

Done ! Stuff up assured headlines read..

“Party time at the Cremlin”
“Ukrainians check their passports”
“American social security prepares for… a future !”
“Trump ‘eyes those Mexicans”
(and the best one…)
“Jacinda bestowed further title”
