Daughter – “Dad, will I be able to join the company when I finish university, in four years time?”
Me – “Of course.”
Daughter – “But Dad. You will be dead by then so what if the managers won’t let me?”
This I suspect (or hope) is the influence of the Biden saga, moreso my being 4 years older than the President. The fact that this exchange occurred about 1pm after I came off the tennis court, having defeated my long standing opponent, a gym instructor nearly 40 years my junior, apparently counted for nothing to my daughter who had finally managed to get out of bed 10 minutes earlier.

Tell her Kirk Kerkorian was similar to your yourself, in that he was lean his entire life, and in his mid eighties was one of the top ranked seniors tennis players in the US. He lived to 98. However he didn’t smoke or drink much…
