The NZ Herald reports the existence (I’m not making this up) of a Professional Dog Walkers Association.
What a splendid opportunity for Massey University to offer a degree in this pursuit, perhaps kicking off with a three year Bachelor degree and ultimately culminating with doctorates.

Believe it or not I am told there are certain skills needed to walk a pack of dogs and not have either chaos within the pack or chaos to passers by (or to other dogs or animals) and to not having them generally running amok. Not sure it needs a university degree but not everybody knows how to do it and not as simple as some may think, For example if you think you can walk the dogs as shown in this video without knowing how to build up a pack and train dogs how to behave in a pack you are dreaming!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6KW_gEIPZk

Unfortunately Massey have been beaten to it by the incoming Trump Administration. Specifically Government front-man Elon Musk has been given leadership the entire area of Dog Walking in a whole new approach (but is oddly familiar-sounding) called “DOG E”.
Or more correctly “DOdGEy”

Sir, your comment reminds me of a time in the mid 1960’s when that august periodical Truth Newspaper ran a front page story about a clique of Whanganui housewives who were rumoured to be doing their house work in their underwear. From memory they were scandalized as “Jaybirds.”
I was told the paper was flooded with requests for information about where these ladies could be contacted and offering work opportunities outside of their district.
Innovation before its time perhaps.
