No Punches Pulled

Following the wonderful and certainly unexpected first test triumph in India the self-congratulatory nonsense in our media had me recoil with embarrassment.

There’s a million dollars awaiting anyone who can make sense of remarks by Lindis Jones, the Chief Executive of Z Energy, in a recent interview with top Stuff journo’ Luke Malpass.

Specifically, Jones said,

I bought my first industrial building way back in 1963 and since then estimate I’ve owned about a thousand or so across New Zealand, but mainly in Australia.

Speculation on the outcome is pointless given the mixed messages from polls and the well-justified sceptism of relying on them, as we all know. But one thing we can be absolutely certain about and that is should Trump lose, there will be a virtual civil war outcome of mass rioting by his largely pig-ignorant supporters.

The chaotic Wellington City Council recently voted against selling the city’s shares in the Wellington airport. There’s no more rationale in the Council owning shares in the airport than say in a chain of brothels. It’s not an appropriate Council function.
