DESPERATION BY GOVERNMENT SUPPORTERS

Last weekend’s Financial Times web-site ran its usual large number of articles. They included a “Brilliant – Jacinda leadership” themed one we’ve become so wearingly used to, given it’s utter drivel.

But note this. It was the only article without a by-line. Now why do you suppose that was?

The answer doesn’t require Einstein. You can bet your boots it was written by a New Zealand journalist. Doubtless this was in hope of another report back here of the “World stands in awe of Jacinda” etc. We copped that nonsense a fortnight back in respect of such a piece in the Washington Post. But far from “the world” it transpired it was written by a Kiwi journalist quoting Kiwi comments.

Dishonest journalism won’t wash with the public when all about is economic devastation come election time.

Wait until you see their effort in Canada’s Atlantic magazine: “NZ’s PM may be the most effective leader on the Planet”.
Six months from now the Canadians won’t even by a leg of lamb from us. They’ll accuse us of world-leading false labelling.

Agreed, as painful as the extension will be I think it will ensure her election failure and proves to me her ego has grown bigger than her brain.

Alas, the real competency test for ‘leadership’ isn’t ordering the lockdowns – it’s coming out of them.

For example: how did we use that time in preparation building up testing capacity, PPE, isolation facilities etc.

By election time they will have convinced the voters that the “downsizing” of the economy has saved the world from the extinction of global warming. By this time next year Jacinda and her 5 million team of hero’s will have saved the world at least 3 times. Australia will want her to take over and China will be considering options because most of their citizens will be living in NZ.

I think the economy will have caved in by September election but Ardern and Robertson will have thrown all they can in the way of ‘wage benefits’ to their voters, taking up the Nz debt to gdp ratio to 60-100% or whatever it takes. However the key bribe they will throw out there is the student free money allowance. That one gets them over the line every time encapturing the new batch of student voters. Worked for helen Clark and they continue to use this tactic.

    Hey John
Are you the same John that on March13th said that Covid-19 was no worse than the average flu ?
You said 20,000 die of the flu in the USA every year.
Guess what buddy , they are up to 43,000 and counting.
I got a slam dunk on your 22% but I won’t say it.

Dear Simon,…

Based on our rooted economy and pending depression…

It’s a good election to loose!

Thanks to Cindy’s slow border closure, poor testing, and endless control of the useless media ” limp male chickens”

Sir Bob Jones highlights another piece of sloppy drivel masquerading as journalism

Hello

I’m sure Jacinda has already allowed for the collapse of the economy and has already got her answer as to why it is not her fault
