Canberra’s University has a new field of purported study, specifically a department called the Gender Institute.
Recently it published a guideline to “uplift female and gender minority students”.
It criticised the use of “mother” or “father” (I’m not making this up) as “discriminatory against those who do not identify with gender-binaries”.
Such words it asserted “can harm transmasculine parents and non-heteronormative families”.
It recommended the replacement of “breast-feeding” with “chest feeding” and much, much more along those lines.
We can laugh at those absurdities but should remember the copy-cat nature of a small minority of attention-seekers in this country, thus it’s inevitable that this nonsense will emerge here.
And its odds on the first of the blocks will be Massey University, doubtless closing down their anachronistic Philosophy and Physics Departments to accommodate these challenging new intellectual pursuits.

Suspect it will be a race to the bottom by Massey and Waikato if history is a precedent.
But surely Stuff is also in the race to assume another guilt trip?
Stuff have apologised for everything in the past , the future , the futures future and so on. How anyone would pay a cent for their crud escapes me. It makes you nauseous.
Universities are infested with this bullshit and have been for a while
The irony is that these idiots are so keen on accepting diversity that it mustn’t be noticed or named.
This diversity issue is a smoke screen for much more concerning issues such as the infiltration of the so called intelligent by CCP and other institutions, by stealth. These Universities are left wing propaganda schools and “us mugs are paying”
They CALL it diversity, but it is absolutely about excluding and isolating.
You are excluded unless you conform to their rules and ideology.
It’s basically a cult. Something preposterous is suggested, and once they realize that there are people out there so devoid of the ability to critically think about it and accept the preposterous notion, the deeper they are drawn into a world so distant from reality that they are scared to leave.
Then someone suggests a nice cup of Kool-Aid…
I think it should be titled “More World Insanity”.
Let’s face it we have allowed this to invade our previously sane world. We empower them and often fund this nonsense.
The weirdos are the only voices we hear or indeed, listen to.
My theory is we’ve slipped into a parallel universe and are stuck in a “Revenge of the Nerds” remake.
We have people with bad teeth, bad ears, bad hair and very confused ideals (no prizes for guessing who) running important parts of our lives.
These are the people who 20 or 30 years ago would have been laughed at for their wackiness or spurned in the playground. Look at your world leaders to start with.
Now they are getting their revenge on the “normal majority”.
Now here is the big question – Is the world a better place listening to the whackos and making them the “new normal “?
