Two days ago I mentioned an inane letter in last week’s Listener from a John Watkins of Greenlane.

I was staggered to read that our biosecurity officials were mystified as to who imported the 176 dead bats they’d intercepted. I presume this was in Auckland as it’s certainly common knowledge who they’re for in Wellington. That is the capital’s prestigious Agrippa Society, its roots going back to 16^th century Germany.

Has English-born, Sri Lankan ethnic now Kiwi, Dileepa Fonseka, ever written anything not steeped in common sense and wisdom? He’s a huge asset to Stuff with his business and political commentaries and deserves a substantial raise, regardless of what he’s being paid now.
