A Stuff site heading yesterday.
“WOMEN OF INFLUENCE: DION NASH ON STEPPING AWAY AND HAVING TO COME BACK”
I wondered why Dion dissapeared from our cricket commentary teams. Now it transpires it was because he came out as a woman, according to Stuff. I was aware Dion had started a cosmetics company, which tempered the shock of this news-item.
But, Stuff added, he’s now come back (presumably as a bloke), so plainly during his time as a woman he confined it to feminine attire, flogging cosmetics and flouncing about etc but didn’t go the whole hog and have the snip, let alone breast implants.
In a world of endless shocks one can only speculate who’s next.
On the political front it would do wonders for Auckland mayor Wayne Brown’s rough diamond image, a constant media target but if he came out, he would overnight be accorded a favourable media image, homosexuality now being treated by the media as a higher art form.
