THE WELLINGTON MAYORALTY

The Wellington mayor and Council are the most criticised of any in New Zealand, and not without cause.

Wellington last had a decent mayor 12 years back with Kerry Prendergast, now deservedly a Dame. She remains one of the busiest people I know, notwithstanding being 71.

The current incumbent, Tory Whanau, was a shoo-in with woke Wellington, given her winning credentials of being female and a maori, but such has been the justified criticism she’s copped, she should be bum-rushed out next time. She can still save herself however, by coming out, as the saying goes.

A female maori lesbian will be a winning formula with Wellington’s wets. A final cap on re-election would be for Tory to have a limb amputated and be in a wheelchair.

Ha ! Excellent !!!!

Another legendary legless misadventure for Tory perhaps?

It’s an old joke but valid…
How many people work at the Wellington Council?
About half of them.

Wellington Rate payers are an apathetical l lot – the last local bi-election had a turn out of 26%…. No wonder the greens are taking over running Wellington, (into the ground).
If you want change, you have to make an effort, small may it be – postal voting is so bloody easy, why don’t Wellingtonians get out and vote????

Very good. Might be less in Auckland. Bring back Gliding On

Yes, we have ourselves to blame for voting in this mayor and council but the next Local Government election is next October so if we can get ratepayers frustrated enough, perhaps we’ll vote in a decent, competent council this time or do we say this every trimester?

the mares blown it !
