The hopeless Greens are finally going to eject Darleen Tana, a world class parasite.
In the 2022 General election Tana managed a mere 12% of her available electoral votes.
So too the Greens in that low income electorate with the Party vote.
Nevertheless, thanks to the vagaries of the Party system, Tana briefly found herself a list MP.
Subsequently after a damning independent report on her past, she resigned as a Party MP.
But she’s continued to turn up at Parliament at a cost to the taxpayer in salary and expenses of circa $200,000 annually.
Here’s what puzzles me. If I, neither elected nor a Party member, turn up at Parliament and try to take a seat I’d be promptly ejected.
But that is exactly the same status as Tana, that is neither elected nor now a Party member so why on earth hasn’t the speaker booted her out? There’s no need to go through the motions of the ridiculously named Waka Jumping law.
There’s a hugely amusing side to all of this. That is with Tana gone her replacement is a Waikato university “researcher” called Benjamin Doyle.
Google him. If he so much as opens his mouth he’ll have the Greens ruing they ever got rid of Tana.
If nothing else then I suppose we can give the Greens points for their entertainment value.

Darleen is the gift that just keeps giving to those of who are bored witless by the Greens Party . And , watching her run rings around them is great entertainment . Poor Chloe , shown up repeatedly to be all words , lots of them , but no action . Joy !
Another bludger about to enter Parliament. He sounded tolerable for a brief moment and had the potential to be the Greens first actual greenie but them his true calling appeared and I now see he will be right at home in the Social Justice Warrior party.
Remember the old days of Jeanette Fitzsimons and Rod Donald? Not that I ever voted for them, but at least they had genuinely “green” environmental issues as their core values.
Greens these days seem to be all about Marxist drivel, intersectionality and the promotion of blatant racism.
Bob’s comment on Benjamin Doyle will probably turn out to be true. I had a go at reading Doyle’s thesis online on ‘Mana Takatāpui: Self-determination for queer rangatahi Māori’. It wasn’t the subject that interested me, but curiosity about what someone could actually write about for a topic like this and what question(s)/hypothesis it addressed. It turned out to be the biggest load of tosh I have ever read (and I do mean ever in my whole life). I can’t understand how it could have met the academic standards for a Masters thesis. It is virtually incomprehensible, lots of it is stated as being the author’s personal opinion (and hence is not actual research) and it’s full of sweeping and unsubstantiated assertions such as ‘Maori think differently from everybody else’. I didn’t have any preconceptions before looking at it, but it is first class complete and utter drivel. I invite anyone else to take a look for themselves, at the risk of torturing your brain cells:(https://www.researchgate.net/publication/380369510_Mana_Takatapui_Self-determination_for_queer_rangatahi_Maori
As Geoff Sinclair was wont to say on his talkback show, “You wouldn’t vote for the Greens in a fit!”
Take a look at the introduction to his MA thesis, published on Kiwiblog a few weeks ago. Then weep, either through laughter and incredulity or through despair that taxpayers are expected to pay for the “services” of somebody as delusional as that guy. On top of all those ahead of him in the Greens pecking order.
It’s about time we get this hopeless party out of our Parliament.
We need it to be replaced with a Conservative Sustainability Party (CSP) that is rooted in the following:
Primary Value: Conserving our planet, economy, and lifestyle, for the long term for our children and grandchildren.
Based on a Meritocracy where race-based policies and DEI are eliminated and promoting Personal responsibility rather than nanny state support.
Policy consistency in the space of sustainability, climate considerations, finite resource allocation.
CSP will be a coalition partner that will be in government irrespective of the leanings of the majority party in parliament thereby offering continuity and consistency, no matter which main party is in power.
The anal focus on CO2 emissions and greenhouse gasses will be replaced by meaningful policies that will make a material difference to our environment, while growing New Zealand’s economy to create the best possible living standards for all New Zealanders.
Sustainable Housing, Immigration and Population Policy that facilitates home ownership and affordable rental accommodation to reduce the financial hostility New Zealand’s young people who want to have children face.
Policies tackling the zero-sum game that has led to a bubble in asset prices
Can they parachute tory in?
Great to hear you having a yack to Shaun SB !
Wish the rest of us ( actually…no, bugger the rest, just me) knew how to back up lateral thinking as you have done through life.
frustrating
Cheers SB
Read about Benjamin’s Thesis. I have never read such a word salad. It is incomprehensible.
Tana, The gift that keeps on taking
His thesis is absolute nonsense!

I see Sandra Hazlehurst mayor of the Republic of Hastings and land of children is off to Afghanistan to give a lecture to Taliban on the rights of gender minorities and importance of giving women more voting rights than …..blokes, (because blokes are mean) and ‘her’ definition of democracy.
I can only wish her all the best and encourage her on this journey. Do wonder if we can organise crowd fund to have her most important councillors accompany her?
Mind you as she says, Hastings rate payers should be happy to pay…’more’ (and) to cover first class tickets including the chartered flight for her cultural concert and kind war dance group.
More grist to the mill. I’m sure SRJ regrets that Benjamin Doyle hadn’t then published his “research ” when he skewered them all in Degrees For Everyone. Art imitating life perhaps?
