THE BIG DAY

The whole world will stop tomorrow to watch the American election.

Praise to Wellington’s Post’s cartoonist Jeff Bell who has summed the outcome up brilliantly vis a vis Trump.

A Kamala victory will see Trump and his mindless followers run amok. Best of all, as I’ve repeatedly said in this blog, it will also culminate with Trump achieving his ultimate destination, namely a prison cell. That will be a great day for the civilised world.

When I look at leadership options I ask myself if I would employ that individual. Kamala most likely as she would at least seem to be a competetnt attorney. Donald definitely not as he hasnt demonstrated any real skill set, is self serving in the extreme and could destroy my organisation – not to mention that close associates run the real risk of bankruptcy or jail time

I have a friend who still works in the DAs office in San Francisco as a senior prosecutor who worked with Harris for many years, you are mistaken as to competency, diligence and honesty. She was however quite accomplished at ingratiating herself with helpful people which made up for her near absence from the courtroom, less than 20 trials apparently and those pretty minor ones.

I’d add that when Trump won the first time I did wonder with considerable amazement how, from all the millions of people in that world leading country, he was the best they could find. Now he’s up against a person who simply defies all logic as to how she could’ve ascended to such giddy heights in any field let alone the Liberal party. Whilst he comes across as the greatest self aggrandising hyperbolist the world has ever seen, she come across as a permanent inhabitant of one of those women’s asylums that used to pop up in films of olde England. Its simply incredible the lengths the Liberal political elite will go to in ensuring they have a controllable candidate. First sleepy Joe and now this?

” the liberal political elite” ??? … and there I was thinking the ex President and the worlds wealthiest man in Elon Musk cooperating with Vladimir Putin might have come across as the elite. Thanks for clearing this up for me…

Its incredible the once great republic has tossed up those two candidates. The only reason I have to side with Trump is he has some strong assistance, and he is against war.

No he’s not against war. I made that mistake too. He’s not against war he’s just pro dictatorships. Not the same thing.

Trump dodged the (Vietnam) draft, on more than one occasion) and I imagine that is what drew you to the conclusion that he is ‘against war’.

This sounds like the starting bell to the biggest heavyweight fight in modern history.

Ladies and gentlemen, Leeeeets’s Rumble.

In the red corner we have a man who Fulton Prison have been told stands at 6 feet 3 inches and weighs in at 239 pounds. He can dodge bullets, and promises to save America by drilling for liquid gold and instantly end world wars with the use of demeaning nicknames .

In the blue corner, we have a woman of color who smiles and prosecutes.
Fulton Prison currently have no record of her height or weight. It would be impolite to ask.
She is new to this fight and finds herself up against the once disputed/undisputed I’m the greatest, I’ll make them pay for my wall, heavyweight of the world.

Let’s hope it’s a clean fight with a quick decisive knockout.

This is Ed Taylor reporting to you live from the hot swing state, Arizona.

This swing voter came out swinging.

I hit the polling booth before sunrise.

Already it was getting crowded and the polling station cheered as numerous people announced they were first time voters.

That included my 21 year old daughter, wise beyond her years.

I took my festering early ballot and tore it up in front of the officials.

My conscience was clear, my heart never skipped a beat.

I voted for a woman’s right to choose, I voted for putting the past where it belongs.

T’will be most interesting if Trump wins the ballot.

The days after will be telling, as it seems that the so-called Democrats have no depths of deception and denial to which they will not sink.

I’m not aware the Democrats ‘denied’ the 2016 and 2020 election results so I don’t understand how you can see a trend there. As for deception, all I can do is suggest that you drill down into trump’s past. He fraudulently deceived his trump ‘university’ students and the egregious theft from the trump Foundation could probably be seen as a deception, as could his tax evasion through Trump Organisation. But it’s all subjective, isn’t it.

A least Harris has a reasonable CV. Graduating from University then becoming City Attorney of San Francisco followed by two spells as Attorney General of California. So she must have some brains to hold such positions. Meanwhile Trump’s career pre being president was as a fraudster, punctuated by multiple bankruptcies and a history of shafting people. A thoroughly disreputable businessman. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He’s not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He’s more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege.
I think given more time the Democrats could have found a more compelling candidate but given that her opponent is as Sir Robert opined “the most despicable trashy individual in public life” I know who I would be voting for,

Trump: Abraham Accord and no American servicemen killed in Afghanistan, lowest number of Black men unemployed.
Kamala: Afghanistan retreat disaster where thirteen servicemen lost their lives.

The Abraham Accord was never going to bring peace to the ME if only because the Palestinians were not involved or even consulted.
Your unemployment statistic is meaningless. When and over what period?
Kamala Harris did not manage or oversee the retreat from Afghanistan following trump’s disastrous deal with the Taliban which threw both the Afghan government and its army under the bus.

Never lets the facts get in the way of a good lie. So for the record (and this comes from the US Defence Department’s files). During Trump’s tenure:

The last service members killed in combat in Afghanistan were Sgt. 1st Class Javier Jaguar Gutierrez and Sgt. 1st Class Antonio Rey Rodriguez, who died on Feb. 8, 2020.

In the last full 18 months of Trump’s presidency, starting in July 2019, there were 12 combat deaths reported in Afghanistan. Throughout Trump’s entire term, 45 combat deaths were reported in Afghanistan.

Glad we could clear that up for you.

Do not be alarmed, no matter wins. If Harris wins, the same puppet masters will be running the show, just a change of puppets. If Trump wins, things should be ok as he got through 2017-2020 without starting WW3 or sinking the economy. I’m still expecting a bit of a landslide despite the polls indicating a tight contest.

Who are the ‘puppets’ to whom you refer? Just a couple of names would do.
I agree that trump did not start ‘WW3’. In fact no one has if only because it hasn’t occurred.
It would have been difficult for even trump to sink an economy that was in such great shape when handed to him by Obama. Mind you, he did add $8t to the national debt, which I think was a pretty super-human effort. But he is ‘the annointed one’, so the Evangelicals and Christian nationalists tell me. so the super-human aspect is not surprising.

The incarceration of the grifter-in-chief will be welcomed by the global community and wildly celebrated, in this household at least. Kiwis just don’t understand the extent to which he is viewed with disdain and held in contempt outside their country, particularly here in Britain.

In the event of a trump win, the first decision to be made by the New Zealand government will be whether or not to continue to share top secret intelligence with the US. If they have any sense, ‘Five Eyes’ will become the ‘Four’.

One might consider you dont have to register to vote in the US; yet one had to with the covid vaccine…There system is as crooked as the politicians that abuse it…

Democracy is in much need of an overhaul, and if Elon Musk gets involved in this efficiency drive it will be for the better…

Who else does one know who spent US$ 44 billion to shut down a corrupted media platform; clearly taken over by the democrats and CIA to promote self interest…

Time will tell whether the American public got their vote right….I think we are all sick of Trojan horses being appointed
