The government on our behalf, has issued court proceedings against itself, in the process costing tax-payers a fortune in legal fees.

Academics are sometimes justifiably accused of indolence, not a charge which could ever be laid at Auckland history Professor, Paul Moon’s door. Paul must be the most prolific book-writing academic, not merely in New Zealand but anywhere in the world and possibly, in all of human history.

In recent weeks The New Zealand Herald has run advertising displays promoting the use of its classified advertising categories. Specifically it lists “In Memoriam,” “Engagements,” “Anniversary,” “Weddings,”  “Birthdays,” “Acknowledgements” and a mysterious one I’ll come to.
